Cheer Instructors

When I finished up my student teaching, my first thought wasn’t “Now where can I start coaching cheerleading?” However, when an old gymnastics buddy encouraged me to try coaching, I instantly found another calling in my life because I’m still here 8 years later!

In addition to coaching for Activstars, I am a second grade teacher and just love watching both my cheerleaders and my students grow! I like being that guide for them as they strive to be better and challenge themselves. The fitness world is another love of mine as I instruct step, cardio, and strength classes.  Let’s build strong bodies and strong minds!

A majority of my background is in gymnastics and dance, which help to provide young and teen cheerleaders alike with strong foundational skills. I have been exposed and trained to teach a large repertoire of stunting technique and tricks throughout my time with the company.

Activstars allows kids the progressional skills they need and want in a FUN environment! When you come to one of my classes, you’ll see that proper technique is learned and executed in an exciting format! Spirit days and games make us laugh, but it’s the learning experience that brings kids back year after year.

Activstars provides your child the opportunity to flourish in a social setting all while gaining knowledge and confidence. Clinics, tryouts, and competitions are all part of the challenging experience, but at the same time, kids will walk away with friends and a colorful array of poms! Who doesn’t want that?

I love that my company allows for more kids to be involved in an organized sport like cheerleading without being a financial burden. With affordable classes and scholarships available, more students can find a passion for sports!

Reflecting on my many cheer moments as a coach, I have enjoyed watching kids work so hard on something and finally get that skill, whether it’s individual or in a stunt group. However, it is PRICELESS to see kids join my program and see them attain great friendships and find confidence in themselves! I am happy to be coaching for Activstars and helping kids achieve those goals!
